Description
Welded plate heat exchangers feature metal plates that are permanently welded together, creating strong, sealed channels for efficient heat exchange without the need for gaskets. They can handle extreme conditions, with typical temperature ranges from -200°C to 400°C and pressures up to 40 bar, making them suitable for demanding applications in chemical processing, oil and gas, and power generation. However, their limitations include higher costs, a more complex manufacturing process, and the inability to be disassembled for maintenance or cleaning, making them less ideal for fouling-prone systems.
