Description
In the hydrogen sector, heat exchangers play a critical role in processes like hydrogen production, liquefaction, and fuel cell systems, where efficient heat management is essential. These heat exchangers typically operate in extreme conditions, with temperature ranges from -250°C (for liquefied hydrogen) to over 1000°C (in reforming processes), and must withstand high pressures up to 100 bar or more. Common limitations include material compatibility with hydrogen, which can cause embrittlement, and the need for advanced design to handle the low thermal conductivity of hydrogen, as well as stringent safety requirements due to the flammability and volatility of the gas.
